About
My interest in music started in school, when I taught myself to read notation in the space of a weekend. From there, I started studying the piano and violin, the latter of which, I played in youth orchestras at, among others, the Fairfield Halls in Croydon and the Royal Albert Hall in London.
At 16, I auditioned for, and was offered a place on the Musical Theatre course at The BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology in Selhurst, where I studied for two years, during which time, I was often called upon to play both instruments for various in-house performance projects, and rehearsals for internal assessments. This practise continued when I was then accepted into Doreen Bird College of Dance and Theatre Performance in Sidcup, as one of the first-ever students of the Foundation Degree in Creative Industries: Acting, graduating in 2007.
Since then, I have cultivated my interest in music, further studying for an Advanced Professional Diploma in Teaching Contemporary Singing with The Voice College, graduating in 2018.
